Very cool!

So cool that when you get done, I have a 2,000 page technical manual for my
1995 Toyota 4x4 Extended Cab that I would love to have as well!

Subject: [NTLK] Newton Book Progress Report (MP 2x00 Owner's Manual)

Hi everybody:

I have put a considerable amount of time and effort into hammering out the
PDF-to-RTF-to-PKG format of the original MP 2X00 Owner's Manual. Here is a
progress report:

1. The RTF document has been fully formatted!
2. The RTF was successfully imported into the NewtonPress work window. I
also did a spot-check for glaring grammatical errors.
3. A new table of contents was created in the NewtonPress window.
4. I started importing the graphics into the NewtonPress document. Like
the
creation of the TOC, the graphics importation is very tedious. I'm
optimizing the sizing of each image, for readability. I just finished the
first two
chapters.
Oh, and I even imported a graphic for the book's cover! :O)

It should be done in a few days. :O)
