Fellow Newtonians,
There has been some talk recently (and far back in the past) about the need
to convert PDFs to NewtonBooks and the ways to do it and all the work
involved, etc.
Here is one possibly helpful tool that was released today.
Trapeze
convert PDF files to RTF, ASCII or plain text
Current Version: 1.0
Product Description:
Trapeze(TM) is a drag-and-drop text extraction utility that converts PDF
files to editable RTF, ASCII or plain text. Trapeze puts you in control over
the conversion process, with options for white space stripping, paragraph
rewrapping and page break marking. Additional features include: advanced
text encoding (e.g. smart quotes, bullet icons, copyright and trademark
symbols, etc.), targeted RTF optimization (TextEdit or Microsoft Word), and
support for encrypted (password protected) PDF.
Product Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.3 or later

I am not related to this company or product in any way.
For those who will surely ask, it cost $29.94 (USD).
