Hi Pals,

Just noticed something very strange about that heap stuff.
I have two 2100, and the free heap is almost double on one than the other:
Also checked with an eMate:

EMate
OS 2.1 737041 upgradeable to 737246
free heap 123kB

MP2100
OS 2.1 717006 up to 710031
free heap 173kB
4MB flash card + modem, hard reset yesterday, basic software (plus
NewtTest)

MP2100
OS 2.1 717260 up to 710031
free heap 349kB!!!!!!!!!!
128MB ATA card + Ethernet, 12MB of added software, NEVER resetted.

What is the officials' position on the subject?
Could it be the OS build version?
Is it a bug?
Is it a feature??
Is that "thin" 2100 an upgraded 2000??? (though labelled 2100)

Now going to look around for an OS update.
Thanks for any help,
Michel
