    yeah, it's cool :-)
    The Linux driver says that it needs to have a firmware loaded, but the
MacOS X driver doesn't say anything about it. My guess is that the card
has the Oxford Semi 950 UART. The eeprom inside the card sets it to a
strange mode that the newton can't understand.

    There are windows programs to check that EEPROM and even download a
permanent configuration.

    But maybe with this source code, Eckhart can do something with it.
