Most GPS cards work by making hardware look like a serial interface to
the device the card is inserted into. The GPS function happens over that
serial interface link, but is pretty rigorously standardized into the
NEMA protocol. So, if the Newton can recognize the serial hardware well
enough to use it, it will be able to work with the GPS onboard. (There
are *some* older, ultra cheap GPS recievers not on cards that would be
tempting for Newt applications, but they require "special"
initialization strings to start doing the NEMA send, and the Newt
doesn't know to send the string. These are the GPS equal of CueCats.)
