hello list:

i have asked this before, but i didn't get any replies:

in mail v, you can set a 'new mail' sound. does it work? i have mine
set to 'do re mi', but i never hear it.

also, i have it set to skip messages over 5 k, but it doesn't, so it
gets hung on emails that people send with images in them.

also, i have it set to only download the last 20 messsages, but it
always looks at the last 100.

any help?
