I am trying to connect my Newton 2100 to my Mac
Powerbook running OS 10.2 through a twisted cat 5
cable between the internal ethernet port and a 3Com
Megahertz 3CCE589ET. The Newton recognizes it as a
Megahertz 589E and all seems well. But when I try to
connect by launching NewtSync on the Mac and clicking
Synchronize, then launching NewtSync on the Newton and
clicking connect I eventually get an error message
that says "Couldn't connect to the specified address"
The Macintosh NewtSync is trying to connect via TCP/IP
and it is listening on address 192.168.1.101
The Newton NewtSync is Connecting via TCP/IP and using
IP Address 192.168.1.101
I am have the following packages loaded on my Newton
NIE Modem & Serial v 2.0
NIE Ethernet v 2.0
Newton Internet v 2.0
and
Fallaron Ethernet
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Steve
