Actually - the old airport cards have the same connectors and shell as
pcmcia cards do (except MAYBE for the notchings at the end), but
purportedly two of the data pins were swapped around from the pc card
standard. Which two pins being a 'closely gaurded secret' of course.
The latter bit about the pin swapping is hearsay, but I've handled
several of the cards themselves, and they are VERY similar to pc cards.
