Ai, let me know about this. I tried the "just switch to printed
recognition" today, and *heck* it works very well. My problem is that
I have adopted a printed/cursive mixture in my handwriting, and my
Newt prefers to see a "d" in my "ch" most of the time. I never used
the "expand" feature much, but I doubt I can teach it my "ch"..?
