I ran into this problem as well - so I have a Question:- how many
'folders' are associated with your In / Out program, and how many
folders are there in your Imap mail account?

when I first tried to add my second imap account, with primary inbox,
trash, sent items, and a drafts folder for each account, plus folders
on each for a couple of school related lists and for newtontalk I think
I'm pushing 12 folders between my email accounts.

Before getting this email working with my newton I had a couple of
extra unused folders on my imap accounts (beyond the 12 I'm currently
using), couple that with two 'global' folders on my newt and I think I
was beyond some sort of limit on the number of folders allowed - (over
16 for sure if that means anything) and mail V couldn't create folders
in my IN/OUT program to match up with the folders online!

when I cleaned the number of imap folders and my newton (to bring the
total number of folders under 16) these problems went away and I'm
emailing happily again!
