Frank,

I have read these instructions a few times over the last few days preparing
for the rebuild event. My question is, have you tried to follow the original
seam, and if you did, what was the drawback to this method? And/or what
other styles have you attempted and what were the draw backs to them?

Although function is 95% of what I need, there is also the esthetics. More
on the point of functionality, I'm worried about repositioning the new cells
into the case without breaking any of the solder points. So this is why I'm
wondering if following the seams could work as well? In my mind I'm
imagining that it would be easier to take out / put back the cells?

So do I :-)

See http://www.pda-soft.de/mp2k_battery_pack.html (2x00) or
http://www.pda-soft.de/emate_battery_pack.html (eMate)

Oh, and just in case anybody is interested, for some weeks
I've been able to offer rebuilt packs without the necessity
to trade your old pack in. 65 Euros or 55 Euros if you make
a donation of at least 5 Euro or USD to NewtonTalk. Trade-ins
are still possible and still set you back 32 Euros for a rebuilt
pack.

Frank
