Hi everyone, sorry to clutter the list with a question that has been
asked before but I can't find a cut-and-dried answer...
What's the best solution for syncing my Newton notes (from the notes
app, not NewtWorks) to my OS X machine? I'm looking for something that
can not only sync the text but also any drawing objects/sketches that
I've done in the program (and even outlines if that's possible).
So far I've read about:
*X-Port (might work, but I suspect only in Classic, (which I dislike in
general due to instability - I'm spoiled and started my Mac experience
with OS X, and the older OS's now seem so primitive) and my method of
syncing is using a keyspan adapter so I don't know if it will work for
me - thoughts?)
*NewtSync (could sync notes with the Notes plugin, but I think if I
read correctly it won't work with drawings)
Is there another, better option, or will one of these methods work? I
haven't tried MacJournal but I'm considering getting it just to use the
Glass Onion plugin and have a dedicated sync solution for notes. Being
able to take the stuff I've jotted and sketched on my Newton and ship
it over to my desktop in a manner usable by my desktop applications
would be way cool, and would bring me one step closer to my goal of
doing much of my major writing using only the Newton and its built-in
HWR! I'll tell the world, gosh durn it!
Thanks for all your help, you guys are great. Looking forward to the
point when I can start helping others instead of soaking up information
like a sponge...
