Weird is right.
I have an X0044 keyboard that I use regularly on my MP2000.
It's occasionally quirky, but I am using the Interconnect dongle (Apple P/N
922-2971) with that keyboard plugged to it no problem.
Occasionally I will need to power off/sleep and flip it back on to get it to
recognize.
