nonsense.Now that was a travesty...
I don' think emphasizing how long in tooth the Mac platform has become
is what Apple has in mind.
Your point that Supercomputing is meaningless to the consumer audience
is a good one, but remember. It is not only about consumers. It's
about delivering the goods.
If now is the time when they are ready to deliver the xserve G5, it
certainly a great time to do so. There are also many professionals and
academics at Macworld.
I don't know what you were hoping for, but I see little reason for
disappointment personally. As a long time Apple watcher (since '78)
and stock holder, I think they are doing a pretty fine job of steering
the ship through some mighty dangerous waters.
I bet the 1st quarter report on the 14th of January raises a few
eyebrows too.
