[NTLK] Escale refuses to run on Panther

I don't know what I am missing, but after upgrading to Panther Escale
does not run on my iBook G3 700. There used to be no problem under
Jaguar, same machine. It just jumps 2 or 3 times in the Dock, then
disappears. No error message.

I don't remember any posts regarding Escale/Panther compatibility
problem,
but then I may be wrong since I was not reading the list for about a
month in
November/December(being newlywed and stuff). My spouse's Tibook/Panther
has the same symptoms.

Any clues?
