Hey Rich, I hope you don't mind a little web site critiquing. :)
I think the low response could also be partially due to the fact that the
link to the voting booth is a bit buried on the This Old Newt site. You
have mentioned the Newties front and center in the TON Newton News - but
there's no link in the news article. There's just a tiny link in your
navbar next to the NewTIL link (which is in a bigger font size). Once you
get to the Newtie Award information page, you still have to scroll down
through a rather confusion embedded frameset past a bunch of boilerplate
text to get the voting link.
I believe that uplevelling the voting booth link would do wonders for the
response rate.
Of course, these are just my own opinions. Other folks may not have had
any issues at all. Just thought I'd mention it.
At any rate, thanks again for hosting the annual Newties. The entire
community appreciates your efforts.
