Is the newton only using MNP-5 or mnp2-4 as well or only a subset of
them?

I **WILL** get this thing working...but i have never seen such a small
amount of information on google. I searched MNP and newton, MNP and
compression, etc and cannot find anything but those resources you gave
me before.

SOMEONE had to write MNP discipine for the serial port for SOMETHING!
I cannot figure it out.

And then, trying to convert between the C routines and REALBASIC on
this is a pain. I would just like a FULL description of MNP! (is it a
closed standard?) I can write routines from there.

;) But..i like a challenge.

I found this...which is helpful...but only if i find out WHICH MNP
standard the Newton uses: http://www.ee.unb.ca/cgi-bin/tervo/mnp5.pl

Useful...but again, no code. I would LOVE the perl code for this
program.

(sigh)
