Very slick, Eckhart.
Got a couple BugTrap reports for you though. This error occurs if you
pick an item from the menu that doesn't actually launch a application -
like a font package or a Newton book. I see that you're already filtering
out stuff in the Storage and Extensions folders, but you'll probably have
to handle specific types of packages.

Two feature requests:
1) It would be nice if you could collapse an already open submenu by
tapping the folder name a second time.
2) Allow the user to set the font style and size. I know that according
to the Newton interface guidelines, menus and pickers are supposed to be
10pt System (Espy Sans) Bold, but I would like use something a bit
smaller to save screen real estate.
