This fine vehicular computing study mirrors some thoughts of mine, not so
much in the audio/video-entertainment part, but in car/computer integration.

    Imagine a bunch of sensors distributed all through the car and talking
(hello Bluetooth!) to one or two Newtons (e.g. a mobile MP to take along
and for synching at HQ and a second integrated into e.g. sunshades as
overhead display...). Add some useful software, e.g. MPG on steroids, GPS
integration meets fuel consumption (the planned trip will burn x litres of
gas which will cost so and so much, etc.), a rpm-sensor will feed a display
showing how high consumption is at this style of driving - a real gas
saver, that! - and a GPS moving map system...

Plus nMAME, DeepGreen and plenty ebooks as onboard entertainment system! ;=}
