Several reasons:
1) bad grammar in the email is indicative of a spam
message
2) everyone on this list knows almost everything about
the Newton. All of a sudden, here comes an unknown
company out of the blue with a claim that, while
intriguing, sounds bogus
3) Everyone here knows about the technology that makes
the Newton a Newton. We also know that the licenses
that make up the Newton belong to multiple companies.
Getting all these companies to relinquish their
licenses...for a fee, will requier the financial
backing of a fortune 100 company
4) This person obviously knows about the NewtonTalk
list. Why they didn't open the questionaire to the
2,500+ members of this list, belies the seriousness of
their request.
5) 20 questions? Understanding the marketing potential
of the Newton with only 20 questions, is like learning
to drive an Indy race car by watching people drive on
TV! Sure, you'll get a slight inkling, but there is so
much more that you will be missing!
Heck, when I went out on dates, I asked more than 20
questions...and that was with an investment of only
dinner and a movie!
