I was thinking something with more character, like a dental examination
mirror?! It could also be handy when looking for lost card slot screws in
the computer case.

One of those AOL CDs or any burnt "coaster" would do for your mirror... I've
used one in the past (now I'm using a broken hand mirror I "borrowed" from
my wife.) :-)
