IIRC ncu was the sync program for nos 1x newts. it was/is great. it showed all notes, addresses and dates on your desktop even when the newt wasnt connected. they nos 2x series didnt have a true sync program. all it has is a backup and package install utility. i always wished someone would have created sync program for the nos 2x series that was as similar to the ncu program but it hasnt happened yet. at least not for pc's. only mac folk have anything similar right now with newtsync and the various others that are being used right now. i may have confused ncu with nck, my apologies if i have.

Okay, I've got to ask something that's been bothering me for a while...

Is there any good reason why no sync applications were ever written for the
NOS 1.x systems?

I look at the Names app and it seems about as robust as the Palm equivalent.
I look at the Dates app and it seems complete enough.
I look at the Soup formats and see that the extra fields in 2.x are just
extensions of the what is in 1.x.

So, back to my question, would it be technially feasible to write a version
of, say, the nSync plugin which could run on a 1.x system and sync the
subset of data supported by the platform?
