I use telnet on my windows side and quickport to move data to the newton (works
fine).

I am thinking of exploring telnet on the newton side since it seems light and
fast.
Can one do email through telnet? I presume not.
Cane one visit websites through telnet? I presume not.
In fact, as I understand it, one can only use telnet to
a) visit telnet style bulletin boards (bbs) - of which there are fewer and
fewer.
b) transfer data from one telnet terminal to another.

But maybe i'm wrong? I'm a complete telnet newbie.

Thanks!

Eric
