Actually, yes and no.
The cards themselves can be used in both. This is true for both linear
flash (supported be Newton without a driver), or ATA CF which is
supported via Paul's excellent driver.

Unfortunately, although the cards themselves do cross, the formats do
not, so once you go one way or the other, you are stuck there...
