if anyone worried abt hinge is in toronto, i'll do it for you as my
contribution to keeping the green

i don't repair the hinge,or solder, but can open the emate, lubricate the
hinge and put on the washer to keep it from being killed if the hinge spring
goes sproing

having practiced up on a couple dozen in our school i'm getting good at it
