I don't recall exactly, but it was somewhere around $15
They had software as well (may have been Windoze only)
for an additional $10, so the whole kit was less than
$30.

Really? What did it cost you? Verizon wants $40 for the kit that
includes the cable and the Windows only software. That is beyond my
willingness to pay. eBay has the cables for $10-40 depending on the
auction but millage varies on eBay and it becomes hard to know in cases
like these if you are even attempting to buy the right thing let along
do you receive the right thing.
