I quickly checked the site and don't think that Jaguar and Panther are
that different.
What you should keep in mind that AppleTalk is off in Panther by
default and should be switched on in two different places:
System Preferences->Network->Show Buit-in Ethernet->AppelTalk->Make
AppleTalk Active
and also in Utilities->Directory Access.
