Hello Everyone:
I just received by mail a hard copy of the entire original User Guide for the
"Writer's Toolkit" software package (an educational title for the Newton
eMate)! I am planning my course of action for getting this document distributed
within the Newton worldwide community. Here is my plan:
1. Read through the documentation a few times, so that it is clearly
understood
2. Scan each page on my home scanner, to create an electronic document
3. Edit the document for clarity; make necessary revisions
4. Run the electronic version by our benefactors in Scotland one last time;
double-check for permission to make the document publicly available
5. Upload user guide document and software to www.unna.org
This may seem like a lot of steps, but I feel we have a unique opportunity to
work hand-in-hand with the software developer/distributor. They are being
very generous by allowing the release of one of their educational titles.
Moreover, I want this to serve as a model example for future software release
opportunities.
More to follow...
