Hey where are you located? I'm in NY and I needed the same thing and went to
RadioShack and bought a $9.99 universal remote. It had a few SONY settings
which I had to test to make sure it worked properly. You should be able to
find one that does the basic remove featuers - MENU and the other special
buttons definitely are a problem - but changing channels should work fine.
