I agree.. But, *if* Apple actually did design a PDA, why "didn't it
make it to market?" Did they just give up? After sinking half a
billion into Newton and getting little out of it (the idea for
sherlock, maybe came from soups, although it could have come from lots
of other things as well - like the *BeOS*! '-) Inkwell is the *only*
real product that they seem to have salvaged from Newton, and it's not
clear where that's going, if anywhere.
So, if Apple did "ditch" the project, the question should be, "when,
at what stage, and WHY?" Unless of course it's just a hoax (very
possible).
