I have had _great_ success with the following:

1. Original MP2100
2. Keyspan Serial Adapter
3. newtSync http://sourceforge.net/projects/newtsync/
4. NewTen http://www.stevenf.com/index.php?node=NewTen

Connection is great, syncing with iCal and Address Book works perfectly.
Some minor problems using Escale, but otherwise fine for installing
packages
and using the keyboard. Although, for package installation, I prefer
NewTen.
