No, that wouldn't work. You'd have to modify the
battery tray for that. Some have done this, and I
think Sonny Hung is working on such a project right now.
The problem with the solutions I've seen so far is that
none had the Polyswitch that is in the original battery
pack. You can replace it with a piece of wire and the
battery would still work, but you'd loose protection against
accidently shorting the battery contacts.
