Here's a check list:

1. Make sure that the port is configured to COM1.

2. Make sure that you have your adapter plugged in (Just to be extra
careful).

3. Set FIFO setting to lowest speed.

4. Fire up NCU on the PC

5. Fire up Dock on the Newton

6. Check that NCU comms settings make sense against the Newton Dock
settings adjust either end accordingly

7. Click connect at the Newton end.

8. Once connection made then experiment with the number of instances of
Slowdown required before a stable connection can be made.

Works for me but I have a Win2k setup.

I have 4 instances of slowdown running right now and still no connections.
No applications are using a comport. Mouse and Keyboard are on USB
