i don't usually install packages on my newt my emailing them to
SimpleMail, but i just tried it the other day and it didn't work. i
sent an email from Apple Mail with the package as an attachment. when
i retrieved mail on the newt, the mail downloaded fine, but the binary
package showed up as (garbled junk) text within the body of the email
message, and was not installed. i wasn't given a slip asking what to
do with the package or any indication that the newt recognised an
attachment to the mail. i didn't try to repeat it, so i don't know if
this was a problem with the package in particular or a problem with my
setup.

any help?
