What was originally going to be Mac OS 8.2 was released as Mac OS
8.5. (A reasonable decision, as it contained many significant
enhancements.) For some reason, even though it was never called 8.2
outside of private developer releases, referring to it as 8.2 was a
common end-user mistake. Perhaps it is the similarity of the shape of
the number 5 to the number 2?

Thirded. Although it is terribly clunky and old-fashioned.
