Nope, neither can see the other...though I'm not sure if the PowerBook should be able to see the Newt. The Newt definitely can't find any other computers.

Also you didn't mention if the two machines could 'see' each other at
all ? ie - if you start a webserver on the Mac can you get to it via
the Newt ?
