Basically this seems to be nonsense that has been repeated over and
over.

As far as I can tell NO ONE has successfully upgraded a bronze turbo
to a Gold?

Frank tried the method described using windows XP and the Alchemy tool,
and it DIDN'T work with the bronze turbo.

I have never heard of anyone successfully doing this on the mac either.

On the other hand the Silver can be upgraded.
