Frank G. is a conartist. He wants to scam you. So what if he pays shipping.
Only a lazy person would pay to have something as sinple as an eMate fixed.

I was going to just laugh at the people who were flaming Frank in the hopes
that some day they would need his services and see for themselves just how
valuable of a guy he is to this list and the Newton community at large.
However, this post really ticked me off!!! Evidently, this guy is a newbie, since
anyone who has been on this list for any amount of time knows better. So, I
will write it off to ignorance on his part. I would like to add one little
parable.

I had a problem with my water heater and called a plumber out to fix the
problem. I watched him as he worked. He spent a few minutes diagnosing the
problem, pulled out a ball peen hammer and tapped on a few pipes. He then
checked everything out and it all worked fine. He handed me a bill for $250. I
was outraged and asked for an itemized bill. He took out a piece of paper and
wrote, labor $50, tapping on the pipe, free, knowing where to tap, $200. I
paid the bill.

If I were Frank, I would tell you just where you could put your broken
eMate. My guess is Frank will remain quiet. He has more class than I do.
