Subject: Re: [NTLK] Linear flash cards and Powerbook G3
Short answer...No.
Longer answer.
While "yes" the card can be read and written to in any card reader, any data on the card written to it from a Newt will not be read by the Mac and any data written to it from the mac will not be read by the Newt. In fact, both devices will complain that the card needs to be formatted if the other device has written to the card. The reason being is that the Newton's data storage format is alien to all other methods of data storage.

Afternoon folks... first post so here goes.
Is it the case that a Linear Flash card (5v) will be read if inserted
into my Powerbook G3?
It's a PCMCIA-type and I want a definitive before I purchase it, the
idea being to use it to transfer files to my eMate?
Yea or nay.
manythanks... andybloom
