In a previous message, Charles Andrew typed vigorously:

>windows Xp, how to a make this connection? please help
>I use http://tools.unna.org/wikiwikinewt/index.php/MODEMtoMODEM[1] but it

Is there anyone out in NewtonTalkland who can help Charles get his MP2000
talking to his Windows XP box? I have been trying to give him pointers to
various pieces of information (including this list) on how to get
connected via modem (he does not have a proper serial cable or a network
card for his Newton). We have been corresponding by private email and
through the whiteboard on my Newton server, but without anu luck.
To be honest, I have never attempted this type of connection (let alone
to a Windows box) so my current expertise is somewhat limiting for this
problem. I'm also not sure what part of the ModemToModem Wiki entry isn't
working for him.
I realize that it's the Christmas and holiday season, but frankly I'm
surprised that no one has responded to his original message.
Can someone please help Charles?
TIA.
