Hi people,
I'm newbie of Newton;
I just bought a 2100, it's terrific, but I've got a startup problem:
I cannot install NCU on my iMacTft:
when I start NCU1.0 Installer, it says "continue", then I Accept the
License, then it says "preparing to install" and that's all: if it's in
Classic, the TrueBlueEnvironment Uses 100 % cpu till I kill the
process, after 10, 15 minutes.
If it's in OS 9 the system freezes.
I tried also removing extensions.
It happens on two different iMacs, a G3 crt and a G4 17",
the O.S.a are: OSX 10.3.7, OS 9.2.2

Questions are:
Because of I am newbye of OS 9 also, Am I doing something wrong?
Is NCU the only start point to connect Mac and Newton? If no, what
should I have to use?

I have ethernet card, but I don't have a serial cable: I need a pinouts
scheme for a DIN8 -DB9 serial cable ( I have the Keyspan USB-serial
adapter, with DB9 connector); I found a diagram for a Macintosh to
modem cable, with hardware handshake: may be the good one?

Thanks,

RIc
