Speaking of that FAMOUS HINGE REPAIR, all I have to say is, how
stupid of Apple to make something like this that is inevitable to fail.
I mean really.. how many school kids and schools had these failures?
Makes me mad that this was so poorly planned.
I'm sending my E-mate back to Apple and demanding a repair!! :D

Subject: [NTLK] eMate hinge repair without desoldering/soldering
motherboard
Hi,
I remember a web site which had instructions on how to flip your emate's
motherboard so you would avoid desoldering/soldering any wires when=20
performing the infamous hinge repair. Couldn't find it in the Wiki or
FAQ=20
though.
Frank's (http://www.pda-soft.de/emate_disassemble.html) and Joel's=20
(http://www.inventors-emporium.co.uk/pages/newton-emate-hinge.html) are=20
extremely helpful on disassembling/assembling it, but I do not feel very
comfortable about soldering.
Is there anybody that knows the link please ?
Regards,
Stan
