We didn't use Network Solutions. We had been lied to by our registrar
so many time that we called Network Solutions to see if they could help
us out or could suggest something to try. Our registrar had taken our
credit card payment, not renewed the domain, offered to retrieve it for
us for $300.00 or so (I can't remember the exact amount), and told us
that it couldn't be retrieved because it had gone "into queue." It
came out of queue early, and was grabbed within eight minutes. When we
told the Network Solutions rep about this he was shocked enough to
suggest we could sue--and trust me, Network Solutions has been through
enough legal battles of it's own that *nobody* at that company
recommends legal action for *anything.*
I haven't dealt with Network Solutions, but I'd go to them in an
instant rather than the registrar we were unfortunate enough to have
used--and who I'm not going to name. We're now hoping that the German
porn house will realize that they're not getting any traffic from our
old URL and will let it drop...
