One shouldn't really believe the Slashdot hype on this one.
'Terminating Firewire support' is imflammatory-speak for 'decided to
not package the cable in the box any more.' They obviously did this
because most of the people that buy it use Windows and don't need the
cable. I think it's a bummer that they did this, but they also dropped
their prices recently. Think as if they dropped them ten dollars less
than the numbers say.

But Firewire on the Newton would be great.
