New titles available NOW:

Haggard, Henry Rider (1856-1925)
        Allen Quatermain-Stories
                Zulu-Trilogy
                        1. Marie
                        2. Child of Storm
                        3. Finished

These stories of hunter Allen Quatermain (of King Salomon's Mines- and =20=

lately League of Extraordinary Gentlemen-fame) play in South Africa, =20
approximately 1830 to 1880, spanning the era from the Great Trek of the =20=

Boers to the end of the Zulu empire. Well-written as anything by =20
Haggard, his Quatermain books have been turned to major box office =20
successes since the 1950ies (though not this trilogy, AFAIK) and are =20
true classics that may as well be said to define the very genre of =20
adventure novels.

"Marie" sees young Allen living at his Dad's mission station and =20
falling in love with a French Boer girl, struggling with fate and =20
intrigue, trying against all odds and treason to marry her who loves =20
him, too.

"Child of Storm" takes us to the same area and features a Zulu-version =20=

of Helena of Troy (actually, Helena was of Greece, but, well, you =20
know...). Fates of Zulu nobles and Quatermain tied into a messy knot =20
again... And we learn about the witch doctor who who wants to revenge =20=

his family on the Zulu people...

"Finished" sees the dramatic end game of the witch doctor. Will he get =20=

his revenge, or will he perish like his loved ones did oh so many years =20=

ago? And will Quatermain (now maybe 40 to 50 years of age) and his =20
young friends survive all the rage and upheaval, as a near apocalyptic =20=

test of might and wisdom draws close? Well, read 'em all today and see =20=

for yourself! ;=3D}
