If you have a mac laptop you can stick the card in (and make it work):
os 9 (might be slightly different on pre os9 machines):
Open tcp/ip control panel. Set "connect via" to the card in question.
Depending on your "User mode" there might be an "Info" button - if so
click it, or/instead choose FIle->Get Info (command-I). A window will
open - the numbers after "Hardware address" are the MAC address of the
card.
Os X (panther at least):
Open system preferences - Select the Network pane. The list of network
connectors should show up, double click the wifi card. (If the list
isn't there - select the card from the "Show" drop down menu. If it
isn't there either you might need to enable it, select "Network Port
Configuration" from the same "Show" drop down menu. Once you have
selected the card and are looking at its details (ip address etc.)
switch to the "Ethernet" tab. Here the numbers following "Ethernet ID"
are the card's MAC address.
I can't recall if there are things different between Jaguar and Panther
in this control panel. Hope this helps Somebody.
