I just got myself a SIMPAD for christmas. It really is the closest device to a Newton you can find.
800x600 pixels 16 bit tft screen
PC card slot, infrared, navigation buttons,...
1 kg, 7 hours battery, well built, good design.
fantastic handwriting recognition, capable web browser and PIM, etc.
