Seems I found the designer of the emate:
Apple eMate, 1997.
Designed by: Thomas Meyerhoffer - Apple Computer, Inc., Cupertino,
California.

Accidentally clicked send:
Sorry, slipped my mind.
Frogdesign did so many of the designs of Apple and the newton resembles =
=3D so
much the designs they did for Apple that I just assumed they did it. =3D =
Yes,
Frogdesign did Apple II, Classic, the grey Powerbook Line, the Freestyle
(http://www.everymac.com/systems/assistivetech/freestyle/freestyle.html) =
=3D
and mostly every Performa. Jonathan Ives joined six years ago and IIRC =
his =3D
first design was the iMac and the iBook.
Considering Ives' style, I somehow doubt he did newton design. It's more
probable that he design the eMate, wich is (consider I only saw photos =
=3D of
it) radically diferent than the other newtons.
I couldn't find on internet any page naming anyone the designer of the
MP1x0; can someone point me to one?
BTW, vadem clio is not black, it has a very very dark tint of green on =
=3D the
surface.
