I used to install alarms for a living. The outer two wires are used for the
alarm system, but only on the line from the alarm to the phone block or
network interface.

Ok, my houses has been cabled with only 2 wires, the other 2 wires
are not connected in the wall. That explain why it was not working.

I'm happy to see that the DSL filter should not affect.

I have to validade if the alarm system uses only the 2 inner wires or
the 2 outter one.
