Hi Matt,

Actually, I'm not really using them for school. At least not directly.

My twin daughters who are just turning 10 wanted "laptops" for their birthday. So, being a Newton fan I imediately thought of the eMate. Not a full-fledged laptop, but cheap and rugged. So, I bought one for myself, one for each of them, and two for parts.

I've already scavaged one of them for parts to correct the hinge problem in one of the others. The screen cable was already going hokey, so it was good that I bought a couple extra ones.

The girls will probably use theirs for school, so I may be interested in the programs you mentioned anyway. I'll check them out.
